Sensei Morimasa Horiuchi


Morimasa Horiuchi; flute as calming sound, stereo and void.

Woodblock print by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1832-1892), published 1883. Depicts Priest Fujiwara no Yasumasa encountering the bandit Kidomaru on Ichihara Moor. Kidomaru intended to kill Yasumasa, but was so overcome by the beautiful sound of the flute music that he gave up his plan.
